THE A-MORIR SKYTOP FOR WOMEN

NEWS FLASH!!  July 9, 2012, Fountain Valley, CA—After six years of innovation within the men’s footwear category, SUPRA is thrilled to announce, for the first time ever, the launch of a line of footwear for women.

“SUPRA is a brand that was created in consideration of, and respect for, the consumer,” said Matt Fontana, Global Vice President of Brands. “We created this women’s collection in response to an overwhelming request from the marketplace. Female fans of the brand have historically worn the men’s styles in smaller sizes, but now brand supporters—such as Heidi Klum, Rihanna, and Chloë Grace Moretz—will have the chance to pick a shoe that was built for them.”

The collection offers many of the iconic silhouettes SUPRA has come to be known for, but in new color ways and new materials such as sequin, glitter, animal print, foil, metallic, embroidery, and more. In addition to a full range of women’s sizes, each style was reconstructed from a new last that was created for a woman’s foot to ensure superior fit and comfort.

To kick off the women’s line, SUPRA collaborated with the highly acclaimed eyewear brand, A-Morir, to create a limited edition high top. A-Morir’s products are coveted among fashionable celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Debbie Harry, and Grace Jones.

“We’re excited about the collab,” Fontana said. “A-Morir perfectly embodies the spirit of the SUPRA female consumer: independent, fashion forward, innovative, and fun. The result is the A-Morir Skytop For Women: a double-sided, black and chrome sequin, high top sneaker.”

“Much like my approach to A-Morir eyewear, I wanted to design a sneaker I hadn’t seen before,” said Kerin Rose, of A-Morir. “This Skytop fills a huge need for a fashionable women’s sneaker and I know the rest of the range will as well. I’m so honored to have the A-Morir collaboration be the first shoe in what is sure to be an exquisite range for women.
